The 4th Glastonbury Harvest Show is fast approaching and there's lots of ways to get involved..

Come and have a stall - its free to showcase your work..

We are keen to showcase the variety of food and skills related activities currently taking place in the area. There is no charge for a table and you can use it as a display space if you are not able to be there in person. If you would like a stall please e mail me (Trish) directly and I will get back to you with more details. Many thanks for supporting this exciting venture. email link-'

Enter your produce for the show

Rumour has it that there is hot rivalry building in the town council where they are busy competing to grow the largest and best runner beans for the show! There are lots of categories under the fruit and vegetables, flowers, preserves, home baking and children's sections that you can enter your own produce under. Bring your contributions along between 9- 10am on the day - its 25p per item for adults and 10p for children

Volunteer to help out on the day

Avalon Fair shares is, as usual supporting the event and are asking if you could help with any of the following:

People to help on the door taking in entries 8.45 am to 10 am, People to help on the door when open to the public 12.15 to 4 pm Stewards in the hall to assist judges 9.45 am to 12.30 Stewards to generally help in the hall while open to the public 12.15 - 4 pm Auctioneer assistants 2.30 pm - 4 pm A couple of photographers during the day - especially 11 am to 2 pm to cover key events and last but by no means least - people with lovely handwriting to write the award certificates - 10 am to 12.30

No one is expected to stay all day, but if you can that would be great, and obviously you will earn time credits while you are there. You can also mix and match things so if you want to write certificates, then cover the door for a while please say.

It has always been a very enjoyable day - people who have helped out before have often ended up staying longer than they intended to!

If you can help in any way, please let me know what you would like to do, and the times you can offer, so that I can put you on the rota.

Thanks very much
