Transition Town Lewes is a local response to the challenges of climate change and peak oil. Around twenty Transition Groups have formed around issues such as energy, food, housing and transport, and many initiatives from these Groups are already underway. We are also developing an Energy Descent Action Plan - a path of action to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. Transition Town Lewes also organises an ongoing programme of events and reskilling courses. Click on the links on the sidebar or below to find out more.

Transition Town Lewes is part of a larger network of Transition Towns across the UK and Ireland. This is growing rapidly with over 30 transition initiatives underway with many more in the pipeline.
